Two Japanese characters. One beautifully simple idea.

旅 — Tabi. A journey—quiet or bold, planned or accidental. A life always moving somewhere worth recording.
紙 — Kami (Gami). Paper—the place where thoughts land, plans form, and memories learn to stay.

Together, they become TABIGAMI: paper designed to move with you.
We believe the tools you write with should feel just as considered as the words you choose.

You might notice an echo of origami here—the art of transforming a plain sheet into something unexpected and beautiful. That’s what we think a good notebook does too: it begins ordinary, and becomes personal.

TABIGAMI was founded in Sydney by a stationery lover who couldn’t quite find enough thoughtfully made paper in Australia—so went searching for it instead. Today, we curate from Japan’s finest stationery makers and bring those pieces home, shipping from Sydney to writers across Australia.

And then there’s Koko—our little puppy in a captain’s hat, riding a paper plane toward somewhere worth writing about. Koko is the spirit of TABIGAMI—and, honestly, a little bit all of us.

Every order is packed by hand in Sydney and usually dispatched within one to two business days.
