The RO‑BIKI NOTE Texture Series explores new possibilities in waxed paper, placing its natural texture and depth at the centre of the design. The cover is crafted from specially treated waxed paper that gradually changes with use, developing gentle fading, creases, and marks that create a distinctive, time‑worn character unique to each notebook.

Through engraved press rolls and carefully controlled colouring of raw materials, the embossed patterns and tones become richer and more expressive after the waxing process. Variations in wax penetration create subtle differences in translucency, adding visual contrast and tactile interest. The silver‑gray (ginnezu‑iro) colour draws inspiration from mid‑Edo‑period aesthetics, when understated shades gained popularity as part of the refined palette known as the “Forty‑eight Browns and One Hundred Grays.”

Inside, the notebook uses premium Soliste paper, chosen for its excellent writing performance across a wide range of tools, including pencils, ballpoint pens, fountain pens, and dip pens. The durable thread‑bound binding with glue allows the notebook to open fully and withstand long‑term use, even when folded back completely.
